No Little People, No Little Places: Letting God Move Through You

I met Becca* in a small congregation. She was a homeschooling mother with a desire to be involved in God’s purposes in the world, but wasn’t sure what that could look like for her.

I challenged Becca to get involved with reaching our city with the good news of Jesus, and encouraged her that relationships she already had could be the foundation of a Disciple Making Movement—a mighty move of God.

Becca agreed to let me train her in basic Disciple Making Movement strategies. She caught a vision for how this simple Bible-focused, relationship-driven approach to evangelism might really work. She started to see some of her current relationships through different eyes.

Word, Deed, Power: The 3 Dimensions of the Gospel

What are the ways the gospel of Jesus is expressed?

I believe there are three critical dimensions of the gospel, clearly seen in the totality of scripture, which are essential if the message we speak and the lives we live are to faithfully reflect our allegiance to Jesus. These three dimensions are like the legs of a three–legged stool; if one leg is missing, the integrity of the stool is inevitably compromised.

Celebrating Gospel Movement: An Unexpected Decision in Western Europe

One of our newest German network leaders, Jonas*, asked me to visit Erik*, his friend and business associate. I presumed Jonas wanted me to help Erik consider his life calling or a ministry project he wanted to develop.

As I picked Erik up from his office for dinner I asked him why it was he was sitting in the car with me, a complete stranger.

Operation Outhouse and Beyond: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty for the Roma (Gypsy) Community

A young business leader named Zsolt had an encounter with God. Up until that point Zsolt had been living the dream—big fancy house and international travel. But after Zsolt met Jesus he felt called to give up his business, sell his home and two cars, and go under the tutelage of a pastor in an isolated and largely unreached part of Romania. He moved his family into a three-room communist era apartment and started serving under this pastor. We were surprised when two years later the pastor, who was going blind, handed his church over to Zsolt. CRM staff, Brad Baker, admits, “We didn’t see what the pastor saw in Zsolt, but God did.”

Worship in the Hard Places: Gospel Movement Among the Youth of Cambodia [Video]

The Hard Places Community (HPC) in Phnom Penh was founded in 2008 to reach out to at-risk children in Cambodia.

In 2013, CRM staff member Alice Collier began partnering with HPC to start a School of Worship that would provide a safe place for children to experience the healing power of God’s love through worship.

Today, these Cambodian youth are forming the foundation of a new movement of prayer and worship that is changing the spiritual landscape of their country.

Freedom Immersion: How Jesus Brings Healing to Our History

Several months ago, I began a journey toward freedom from fears that have plagued me my whole life. Two other missionary moms have walked beside me on this “adventure.” Among the three of us, we have served in Asia as missionaries for almost 40 years. So, we should be perfect, right? Can I let you in on a secret? All three of us have been tolerating the bullying lies of the enemy—we have been ministering to others under the heavy weight of fears and doubts that we thought we were just going to have to live with for the rest of our lives.

CRM works to create movements of committed followers of Jesus in nations all around the world. This blog captures our stories, learnings, photos, videos, and more. Welcome!
