Gospel Movements: God's Work Advancing in the World

21 May

Gospel movements are the on-going, ever-expanding, redemptive work of God in the world. We pioneer new ground in the midst of a great cloud of witnesses—bold people of faith who catalyzed gospel movements in their own day. Their lives give us a glimpse of what is possible when we act and God moves.

"Nor is God's work ever intended to be stationary, but always advancing."
-Hudson Taylor

J. Hudson Taylor (1832-1905) was called to China as a teenager, and moved there as a missionary at age 21. After founding the China Inland Mission, he mobilized 825 missionaries to share Jesus in all 18 provinces of China. By the end of his life, 25,000 new Chinese believers were following Jesus through their efforts.

What will God do in our day? What part will you play?
